Paint Wanneroo REaD is part of the national literacy project “Paint The Town REaD” and aims to boost the social skills, communication skills, and brain development of children through reading. This project actively involves the whole community by encouraging families to read with their children from birth.
Paint Wanneroo REaD has RED book box locations throughout the City of Wanneroo, including locations such as Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Bunnings Mindarie as well as multiple early learning centres. These books are free for children and families to take and are regularly topped up with new books.
Our mascot Wanda is very busy and enjoys visiting the local community spreading the Paint The Town REaD message:
Talk, read, sing, rhyme, draw and play with your children everyday.
